The data being used in GoFundMe Pro’s Intelligent Ask Amounts model is a combination of session data (e.g., device type), nonprofit data (e.g., historic campaign performance), GoFundMe platform data, and third-party census and population data.
Is my donor’s or organization’s data being shared with other nonprofits?
No. Specific donor, campaign, and transaction data is not shared across nonprofits.
Any data about how a donor does (or does not) donate on your GoFundMe Pro pages will inform our insights and enable better predictions, but that data is not accessible to any other nonprofits.

Will our donors’ information be informing the machine learning model that informs others?
Yes, our tools analyze donor activities across GoFundMe. This includes donor behavior within GoFundMe Pro nonprofits (where permitted) and GoFundMe fundraisers, helping to inform valuable insights.
We never share data about a donor’s activities at one nonprofit with another. The Intelligent Ask Amounts feature is only displayed to donors on your specific donation forms. GoFundMe Pro does not share donor lists or data across nonprofits.
However, every GoFundMe Pro customer who enables Intelligent Ask Amounts can access insights informed by a donor’s broader philanthropic history to better understand and engage their supporters.
Can I enable Intelligent Ask Amounts on a per-campaign basis?
Yes. While we recommend enabling Intelligent Ask Amounts for all standard campaign pages, settings can be adjusted for individual campaigns, or the tool can be enabled or disabled on a per-campaign basis. You’re in full control.
